Does God Expect Perfection? If He does, then why are we here? Why do we even try? If anything less than perfect isn’t good enough, then why try? What’s the point?

Am I an unsung hero? Do others look at me for inspiration to grow closer to Jesus?

At the onset of change, it is hard to see the good that can come from it. The pain of loss is real. And all too often people get stuck in the pain of their loss. Some have been stuck in their loss for years. Are we going to get lost in the loss?

Never put your hope in your loss. Put your hope in the fruit of your loss.

When it comes to loving God, the question we are asking really is, “Can there be any fun when God is around?”

The question we are going to answer today is, Does God require no bacon? The answer to this question opens a whole theological can of worms that Christians struggle with all the time.

Today we are going to talk about your perspective of life’s struggles. Everyone has problems.  We all have problems.  It doesn’t matter what job you have, how much your bank account is padded, or how great your marriage is—you still have problems of some sort at some level. What I’m going to challenge you with today is to no longer see your problems as dead ends, but as front ends.  In other words.  Instead of your problem being a wall blocking you from success—picture your problem as being the front end of a locomotive—that can power its way through any wall that you may face.

Loving God more than your sin, that’s what God is after. Repentance means change, by doing things right and making things right—for no other reasons than you FEAR God, and LOVE God.

Some Christian circles talk a lot about “expecting from God.” They come to church with expectations. They pray with expectations. As though those expectations are a sign of faith, and that faith is what it takes to twist God’s arm to do something for them.

On the other hand, is contentment complacency? Because we know God does NOT want complacency. He wants movement, steps of faith, action, growth and follow-through. So, is contentment really a quality He wants in your life?
