If Jesus were here right now, what would you say to Him?

What will matter on your Final? Here’s the beginning and end of it: LOVE Matters  --  Your job from now to the end of this life is to learn and practice the way of LOVE.
Let’s get this clear: Love isn’t the attitude; love is the motive behind the action. This is where we make the mistake of understanding love. We think love is about how I feel while I’m doing something for someone else—the attitude. But love is found in the motive.

Imagine when you stand before God to be judged, and you find out that nothing you stood for, nothing you did on earth had anything to do with the final test….
What is God looking for? Is He communicating what He wants you to be doing to prepare for the final? Or has He left us here to guess on our own and hope we figure it out?

Most of life is between the parties, the days after the party, and the days until the next party. Most of the time you are waiting for that great moment to happen. Most of the time you are in a season of meantime. And if you are just wishing those moments away, you are wishing your life away and missing out on enjoying great moments.
The daily ingredients of your life need to be laced with purpose, enough that you can enjoy the meantime.

There are times in your life that you have gone through, and will go through that feel like prison. You were captured, told where to go, what to do, and there wasn’t a way out.
No matter how bad the situation seems, you can count on God to not only bring you out, but also to bring purpose to it.
As a believer in Christ, your body, your blood, your work, your tears, your sweat, ALL OF YOU belongs to God. Even if you are working for a slave-master, you aren’t working for them—you are working for THE LORD. Do it with ALL YOUR MIGHT.
If God has seen fit for you to face a trial, He has purpose for you to be in the trial. 

We have been talking about His Story. 
You need to know that your church is not built on superstition, or man-made tradition. It’s better than that. It’s our history. His Story is our history.
Our faith is not just some hope-crutch. It’s not a dream without proof. The God we serve is real. And all the earth is filled with His Story with us, and the people who served Him before us.

Our victory is not that we win all these battles; our victory is found in this: We outlast the enemy.
We don’t give up. No matter what trial you face—health, finances, grief, betrayal, even if you lose the battle, if you outlast the enemy you win the war.

All throughout Scripture there is a visual given to us that we need to beware of, be warned about. The visual is this. Being on the inside with the world, or on the outside where God is. Conformity to the world is conformity to the powers and principalities of darkness that rule the world. You can conform to the pattern of this world, or you can be transformed into a mighty imager of God. 

The more we discover, the more we learn, the more we uncover, the more God’s story is validated and stands. It’s amazing that God’s story, the story recorded in the Bible, for thousands of years is still relevant, historically accurate, and archeologically being proven day after day to be accurate.
The same is true in your life. The longer you live, the more you can see God’s purpose and plan for your life unfold. You will go through times you don’t understand, but on the back side, you can always look back and see His hand.

Imagers of God live with purpose. We live with meaning. We live with hope unlike those of the world live. Be careful whose table you sit at and get comfortable, because therein lies your loyalty. 
At the same time, we have to be careful to understand that Jesus was continuously accused of eating at the table with sinners. 
But, Jesus didn’t eat with them to join their position in life; He ate with them so they could begin eating with Him!
